Water is the greatest enemy to watches!
Before use, always pay attention to the ATM mark. It designates the depth – that is, the water pressure that your watch is designed to withhold. Such conditions can only be achieved in a testing lab. In practice, the movement of your hand through the water will drastically increase the pressure on your watch and it may not resist to be submerged to the depth in metres indicated on your caseback.
Also, check the water resistance before using your watch. The crown of the watch must not be pulled out, and in case it is, put it back in place and do not use the gaskets while your watch is exposed to moisture. Moisture can cause permanent damage. In case water has entered your watch, take your timepiece to the MY:TIME authorized service. Never try to open the watch case yourself!!
Markings on the caseback:
- - WR=WR – Avoid any contact with water, rain, etc.
- - 2 BAR = 3 ATM – Allowed light splash with water drops, but no immersion in water
- - 5 BAR = 5 ATM – Allowed hand washing, rain, moisture, but no immersion in water
- - 10 BAR = 10 ATM – Allowed hand washing, rain, moisture and immersion in water
- - 20 BAR = 20 ATM – Suitable for recreational diving (free dive)
- - 30 BAR = 30 ATM – Suitable for deep, professional diving (scuba diving)

Below you will find some tips on use and care of your wristwatch:
- - Avoid contact of the watch with chemicals such as, perfumes, hand creams and cleaning agents. Aggressive sweat can affect the shine and the durability of the watch case and the strap.
- - Keep the watch clean at all times: remove dirt with dry, soft cloth, without the use of any soap or chemicals.
- - Avoid magnets. The electrical field and the static electricity can be harmful to the mechanism. Also, never leave your watch next to or on top of a sound speaker.
- - Avoid extreme shocks or impacts. The wristwatch is designed to resist normal impacts. (Not valid for G-Shock)
- - When you are not using your watch, keep it in a dry place. Store solar-powered watches in a place with natural light or a lamp, but not in a direct sunlight and never in a box or a drawer.
- - The factory installed battery may have a shorter life than specified. Have it replaced by an authorized service only.
- - Check the condition of the strap and buckle to avoid it accidental falling off or mechanical damage.
- - Avoid exposing the watch to direct sunlight and extremely hot and cold places. This affects water resistance and may lead to discoloration of the watch.
